Press Release AHCC Research Association Founded Mission: Raise Awareness of Japanese Medicinal Mushroom Among Cancer, AIDs & Hepatitis Patients Rye, New York, April 13, 2001 - Building upon 15 years of patient success in Japan, the Active Hexose Correlated Compound's (AHCC) Research Association has been established to communicate the nutritional supplement's benefits to U.S. patients. During the next year, the association will undertake an aggressive public education program, reaching out to those with Cancer, AIDs, Hepatitis and other immune dysfunctions. Fred Pescatore, M.D., M.P.H., is the association's medical director and played an integral role in its formation.
